The hilt on this Bowie is hand cast copper. The rivets in the handle are also copper. The fittings on the sheath are hand cast copper.
The blade is engraved with a bear’s head and scrollwork with a mirror finish, and is 10 in long.
The Blade Catcher on the back of the knife blade is a solid bar of copper cut into the blade and soldered in place.
