DAMASCUS BLADE, VIKING SEXAX $1850.00
The Blade billet is ladder pattern Damascus custom made for this knife by the Blue Spring Forge. The blade is 13 in long and is hand finished to a 600 grit finish and acid etched to bring out the different metals used to make it.
This was a standard pattern of a work knife that the Vikings used every day. It was considered a work knife not generally used for fighting or war.
The handle is of Rams Horn with an ebony wood spacer. This knife has a “through the handle” tang and the pommel is screwed on to it. The pommel is a hand carved dragons head with ruby eyes, and it is also Damascus steel.
The hilt is in three layers of (from the blade to the handle) Brass, Nickel Sliver, and copper.
There is between the handle and pommel a spacer of brass and copper.
